Dr. Vivek Kadambi the chief Operating Surgeon is one of the pioneers in the field of Vision correction by Lasers.

He has trained in Russia, at the world famous Fyodorov Research Institute of Eye Microsurgery.

He has traveled extensively and acquired training in USA, Canada and Europe as well. Being one of the most experienced surgeons in the field of Refractive surgery, he is an authority on the subject and is constantly contributing to its advancement.Dr.Kadambi is actively involved in training surgeons all over the world in the technique of Laser Presbyopia Reversal. He is also one of the Chief Clinical investigators guiding the FDA (USA) Phase II Clinical studies for the procedure. Phase I and Phase II trials have already been completed outside the USA.

Dr. Kadambi returned to India to start practice about 15 years ago. In 1994, he started the first Flying-spot Excimer Laser facility in the country, "Laser Vision", at The Bangalore Hospital. He is one of the promoters of the Institute and the Head of the Department of Ophthalmology. In addition to being the director of Chinmaya Laser Vision Netralaya, he is also the Medical Director of Kadambi Laser Vision Clinic and Research Foundation.Today, Laser Vision center has grown to be one of the most well equipped laser treatment facilities in the country aimed at eliminating dependence on Spectacles or Contact lens for good vision. A recent addition to the laser facility here is a new Infrared Laser, which is being used to reverse Presbyopia through a procedure called LAPR. This facility is available in only six centers in the world and it is the only one in India.

Chinmaya LASER VISION Netralaya houses one of the most advanced systems for LASIK treatment. The state-of-the-art equipment ensures safety as well as accuracy. It is the only Excimer Center in Karnataka which has been successfully treating refractive errors since October '94. We have treated patients from all over India and abroad!
